Size, page order, and one mixed file

Finish the pages before you squeeze them

1. Read the portal’s rule: PDF or JPG, maximum size, and whether it wants one file.
2. Correct text in PDF Editor first. Run OCR on a scan before you compress it. A second compression of an already soft scan makes the stamp and the QR code worse.
3. Arrange pages, then compress once, a little under the limit.
4. Open the download, zoom to the signature, and only then upload it.

Compress PDF

Choose Compress PDF, pick the file, and type a target. The unit is KB, MB or GB. If the form says 200 KB, type something like 180. A text-only notice gets small without looking worse. A scanned booklet is mostly pictures, so a very small target will blur it. There is no honest way to make a 20-page colour scan into a tiny file and keep every seal sharp. If the download is muddy, raise the target and try once more from the original, not from the muddy copy.

Merge, Split, Organize

Merge PDF stacks several PDFs into one, in the order you chose the files. Split PDF extracts the pages you type, such as a single page or a range. Organize PDF is where you reorder or drop pages. The page number printed on the paper is not always the page index in the viewer. A cover with no number is still page 1. After the download, count the pages yourself.

Rotate PDF turns pages by the angle you pick. Add Page Numbers writes a number. In the editor, page numbers, a header and a footer are part of Save PDF. The simple Add Watermark tool writes words. Inside the editor, the watermark can be those words or a picture you choose. Words sit diagonally. A picture is faded across the centre. Neither tool should be used to claim someone else’s document as yours.

MERGE MIX PDF

MERGE MIX PDF is the tool for a packet that did not start as one kind of file. You can give it photographs, a .docx, an .xlsx or .xls, and PDFs together. The result is one PDF. Use it when a form says “upload a single PDF” and you still have the photo of the certificate, the spreadsheet of marks, and an older PDF letter.

Excel to PDF and PDF to Excel are separate when the sheet itself is the job. A converted table can shift a column. Compare several amounts with the original workbook before you trust a total. Word to PDF is the path for a DOCX, including a Kruti Dev file. Image to PDF makes a page from each picture. PDF to JPG exports the pages as a zip of images, which is what you want only when the portal refuses a PDF.

Unlock PDF removes a password you already know. It is not a way to open a file whose password you do not have. If you set a new password in the editor, write it down. The site does not store it.

Temporary files used to build the download are deleted on the server. Keep your own original until the portal has accepted the upload.
