Edit the text piece you clicked

Open the editor

1. On the home page choose Open PriyaPDF Tools, then PDF Editor, then your file.
2. The ribbon stays across the top. The same jobs are listed on the left. The page sits in the middle.
3. Choose Edit Text. Click the words you want. A typing box opens on that piece.
4. Type the correction. Press Enter, or click on the page outside the box, to apply it.
5. Press Save PDF. The browser downloads PriyaChandan_Edited.pdf. The original file in your folder is not overwritten.

What opens is the piece the PDF itself stored. In many files that piece is a single word, so the neighbour stays where it was. Some files store a longer run as one piece. You then edit that run, not a word the file never separated. Either way, the next box is a different piece. Clicking one does not wipe the other.

Font, size, and Hindi

The ribbon has the font list, the size, the colour, bold and italic. Apply writes that style onto the piece you selected. The list includes Nirmala UI, Mangal, Aparajita, Kokila, Utsaah and Kruti Dev, along with the usual Latin faces. When you save, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Odia are embedded in the download, so the next computer can read the line without those fonts installed.

Added text, the T+ control, can be dragged. A signature or an inserted picture has a handle for size. Highlight, underline and strike are drag marks. Whiteout paints white over an area and does not promise the old text is gone. Redact is the black box: Save PDF removes the text under it. Use Redact for a number that must not remain in the file.

Ctrl+S, or Command+S, saves. Ctrl+Z undoes the last change when you are not typing inside the box. Clicking empty page space closes the typing box. The preview moves as you work. The file on disk changes only when Save PDF finishes.

A scan is a different job

If the page is a photograph of paper, there is no text piece to click until OCR reads it. Use OCR / Image Text Edit on that page. The desk reads the picture of the letters and then lets you correct them. Check every name, date and amount. A clear, straight scan is read more reliably than a tilted photo. OCR is help, not a guarantee.

Find jumps to the next page that contains the word you typed. Replace all prepares a change for each match. Nothing is written into the download until Save PDF. A password typed in the editor locks that download with AES-256. Remember it. The site does not keep a copy of the password for you.

Before you send the file

Open PriyaChandan_Edited.pdf in another viewer. Read the line you changed, then the line after it. Zoom if the type is small. Page count, a stamp and a signature should still be where you left them. Keep the untouched original until that check is done.
